Carmen Byers
For over thirty years, Carmen Byers has been a practical, hands-on part of the construction community. As a Project Management and Compliance Consultant and Partner at RASADAZZLE, LLC, she looks at projects through a wide lens—helping teams navigate the building process from early ideas all the way to completion. Her path has given her a well-rounded perspective on the industry, including a decade as President and CEO of a commercial general contracting firm, ten years steering daily operations and construction administration as an Associate Principal at a large architectural firm, and another decade dedicated to overseeing major institutional growth at UTEP.
Carmen’s work relies on a practical foundation in construction management, architecture, and green business project management. Certified as a Registered Accessibility Specialist (RAS #1574) and a LEED Green Associate, she focuses her day-to-day energy on ADA and TAS consulting. She appreciates the opportunity to help local spaces get it right from the start, whether conducting plan reviews or site visits for regional school districts, University Medical Center, or the private sector. To stay helpful and current, she keeps up with colleagues through the Accessibility Professionals Association, the American Institute of Architects, the El Paso Contractors Association, and the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
Outside of work, Carmen keeps her energy high with regular workouts, a good yoga practice, and golfing or trail hikes with her rescue Chow, Luna (who routinely lives up to her nickname, “Lunatic”). A passionate supporter of the region’s thriving public art and mural scene, she brings that same creative, hands-on spirit home. For a complete reset, you can find her sparks flying at her welding bench or out in the yard, where she has designed a cactus garden that blends native desert plants with bold metal art.
